My colleague has not been into work for 3 days as he has been dabbling in the markets - not stock markets he said, markets, he emphasised with a look of secret society understanding. I had no clue what he was talking about, but decided that since I was meant to be his manager (was I deluded or was he??) and it was my turn to speak, instead quelled him with a look of what I hoped demonstrated knowledge and understanding.
